Did We Survive?

I trust that if you are reading this, you survived the mayhem that is the Christmas holiday. Now we start training to stay up past 9:45 p.m. so that we may officially ring in the new year! In case I forget later, Happy New Year! Christmas was awesome and I hope to post pictures soon of the extended family, with whom we spent a lovely day with last weekend. We missed Heather and the rest of her brood, but they were fighting diseases and we missed Lynnette, who was busy baking buns... no wait, that supposed to be buns in the oven. Either way, she gave birth to what appear to be two beautiful girls on the Monday following. Merry Christmas, Billy! :-) Anyway, on to the pictures. The one of Brendan, in my humble opinion, is one of the best I or anyone else has ever taken of the lad. I just look at this picture and cringe at what the future will hold with young, brazen girls calling my handsome, shy boy all the time. Eeek. The one of Caitlin is a picture of her taking a tour of Elvis' bedroom at her mimi and papa's house. FYI, Elvis is a Boston Terror, er, Terrier (Sorry, Dad, couldn't resist.) Caitlin just loves playing with him and does not mind at all when he licks her and knocks her down, as long as there isn't anything behind her. And for some reason, she is very preoccupied with his pet taxi. I don't pretend to understand either one of them. As always, enjoy the pics and hope to hear from you all soon. Maggie

Merry Christmas Already!

I cannot believe it is almost Christmas (yes, we are celebrating CHRISTMAS, as I believe most of my friends are, but just in case, Happy Hannakah or however you spell it!) and it's been over a month since I posted. I did so good for those 3 days. Oh well, today I'm posting a picture of Jim and I from the bank Christmas party. It was held in the newly renovated Runneymede Hotel, which was moved in many years ago and was falling apart. A group here got together and had garage sales, applied for grants and begged for money until it is a completely restored original hotel that is over 100 years old. It's gorgeous. Anyway, the party was there and we had party pics. I have to say, this is one of the best pictures I have of Jim and I. They didn't use a flash, so I tried to play with it some, but I think you will get the idea. Jim and I both think we look like parents/adults in this picture and we both have mixed feelings about how we feel about that. If we just didn't look so darn good! hee hee. Well, enjoy and I'll try to be better about posting. Merry Christmas and all that! Maggie
