Go Cowboys!!

The cheerleader outfit goes against everything I stand for, but she looks so darn cute in it! And, it was a gift, so it would be rude not to let her wear it! The helmet she stole off of Brendan's head just moments before. The Barbie shoes are a nice finishing touch. She can go from field to fiesta in a moment's notice. Brendan thinks he's ready to play football in pads. Guess we'll find out in the fall. At least he'll be in the high end of the league (3rd and 4th graders) so maybe he'll land on top of the piles! Stay warm.

It's been a long time

I will just let the pictures speak for themselves.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. It's been crazy. I'll try to do better as we have gotten some cute pictures lately.
Hope all is well with everyone.

The Day After MSG

Well, we took a little detour on the way home and stopped in Pauls Valley to visit the Toy and Action Figure Museum. It was very cool. There are more action figures in the museum than there are residents in the town... 9000 to be more precise. The man who worked there was a fellow Pottawatomi Indian. No, I didn't ask him, he had on a t-shirt. Anyway, I also didn't realize how many cartoonists had Oklahoma ties. It was very cool and very kid and camera friendly. We recommend it to anyone who has ever loved super heroes or just wants to see all the toys he/she threw away/destroyed as a child. Here is a picture of Brendan and Caitlin in the old Model T ride. Yes, it still works and yes, it was only a quarter! The one of Jim is him by the GI Joe display. If you have ever met my husband, you will know that is not a roll of Life Savers in his pocket!! Wow, twice in one month!

Well, here are a couple more pictures. One is of Caitlin when she got herself dressed up to go to the convenience store with dad to get some milk. Apparently, Jim found out what a chick magnet babies can be, as there was a group of high school girls making over her. The one of both of the kids shows them modeling their new clothes from Mimi and Mom's shopping spree. Caitlin's is a little dance unitard and Brendan's shows the Justice League Superheroes. See you soon. Oh, someone was looking at my calendar and was going to plan something the weekend of June 15, but the immediate comment was, "Maggie can't go, she'll be at Lake Murray." Glad they are watching out for me. Take care. Maggie

Yea Yea Yea

Hello Everyone! I know, I'm a bit behind on my blogging. It is not from a lack of material that the kids give me, but more of a time issue. I apologize and hope this will make up for it. Here is a picture of Caitlin in a Cinderella Barbie dress up outfit she got for her 2nd birthday recently. You heard me, 2nd birthday!! The child already walks better in heels than I do! The other picture is of Jim and Brendan before we left for him to receive his 1st Communion on Easter weekend. He did very good taking the host and dipping it into the wine and not gagging/vomiting/spitting afterwards. He is turning into such a nice young man most of the time and consequently, we are very proud of him... again most of the time. :-) Enjoy and I'll try to do better. Maggie

I'm shipping the kids away!

As always, the box as much/more fun than the gift. Couldn't resist snapping the kids playing so nice together. I'll drag this out again when Caitlin gets to be about5 and remind them that they used to like each other!!

Does anyone have a countdown until the big McKelvey weekend? What a fun idea!

Did We Survive?

I trust that if you are reading this, you survived the mayhem that is the Christmas holiday. Now we start training to stay up past 9:45 p.m. so that we may officially ring in the new year! In case I forget later, Happy New Year! Christmas was awesome and I hope to post pictures soon of the extended family, with whom we spent a lovely day with last weekend. We missed Heather and the rest of her brood, but they were fighting diseases and we missed Lynnette, who was busy baking buns... no wait, that supposed to be buns in the oven. Either way, she gave birth to what appear to be two beautiful girls on the Monday following. Merry Christmas, Billy! :-) Anyway, on to the pictures. The one of Brendan, in my humble opinion, is one of the best I or anyone else has ever taken of the lad. I just look at this picture and cringe at what the future will hold with young, brazen girls calling my handsome, shy boy all the time. Eeek. The one of Caitlin is a picture of her taking a tour of Elvis' bedroom at her mimi and papa's house. FYI, Elvis is a Boston Terror, er, Terrier (Sorry, Dad, couldn't resist.) Caitlin just loves playing with him and does not mind at all when he licks her and knocks her down, as long as there isn't anything behind her. And for some reason, she is very preoccupied with his pet taxi. I don't pretend to understand either one of them. As always, enjoy the pics and hope to hear from you all soon. Maggie
